April has a rhythm all its own. The rain comes down. The earth softens. Flowers bloom where the cold once lingered—and life bursts forth in places that seemed forgotten.
We usually talk about Easter and Passover this time of year, and of course it’s central to our faith. But this April, we’re also pausing to honor something quieter yet just as powerful: the beauty of water, baptism, and being made new.
In Scripture, water is never just water. It’s life. It’s cleansing. It’s invitation.
From the Spirit hovering over the deep in Genesis, to the parting of the Red Sea, to Jesus’ own baptism in the Jordan River—God moves through water. He uses it to draw us out, to wash us clean, and to mark us as His.
And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord". – Acts 22:16
So this month, let’s celebrate more than just the sunshine after the rain. Let’s celebrate the cleansing power of God’s grace, the joy of spiritual rebirth, and the call to step forward—refreshed, forgiven, and filled with purpose.
Whether you were baptized decades ago or you’re still figuring out what you believe, one thing’s for sure: God still meets us at the water.
